Professional Oklahoma Educators

Jim Smith recently served as Superintendent of Elmore City-Pernell Public Schools.  His career in school administration includes ten years as a principal and sixteen as a superintendent.  Prior to his service with Elmore City-Pernell schools, Mr. Smith served as superintendent at Heavener, Clayton and Eagletown Public Schools.

Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science in Education, both from Southeastern State University (Durant, OK). He completed his Superintendent's Certification through East Texas State University (Commerce, TX) in 1992.

Mr. Smith and his wife, DaVonna, who is also an educator, work as a team to provide quality professional development and communication training to educators, business professionals, and families. They have been married for over 40 years and have three daughters and a foster son.
