Katrina McCage

Before becoming a teacher, Katrina McCage was busy being the mother to eight children.  She was also a bookkeeper for several businesses, including her family's own business in Marietta, Oklahoma.  Katrina is a 2001 graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University.  

She began teaching at Thackerville Public Schools in 2001, where she taught many subjects in middle school until 2011.  From 2011 to 2013 she taught 4th grade reading, 5th grade reading and social studies, and all subjects in 6th grade. Katrina is currently a middle school social studies teacher and teaches reading and math remediation as well as being the district’s Test Coordinator.  She has been the Technology Coordinator for several of her 15 years at Thackerville. 

Katrina has served POE as the State Treasurer for one year and the State Secretary-Treasurer for one year.  She organized Thackerville’s first POE chapter and is currently serving her fourth year as the Chapter President.  She received the Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma Award as “Teacher of Today” in 2016.
